Located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Verdon at 1905 meters above sea level, the astronomical observatory of Mount Chiran welcomes you on booking.
Created by the National Center for Scientific Research in 1974, the observatory enjoys excellent sky quality and remarkable atmospheric stability.
Today we welcome you to the refuge for one or more nights on your hikes, or to contemplate the heavens.

You will discover at the top an exceptional panorama of 360 °, with a view of the Alpine arc, from the Mercantour to the Ecrins, as well as a beautiful glimpse of the Mediterranean, from the bay of Fréjus to the Pyrenees !
